Adolescent Counseling

Legacy Professional Counseling – Frisco, TX

The years between 12 and 18 can be some of the most exciting and most disorienting of a young person’s life. New friendships, shifting identity, school pressure, social media, family change, anxiety, depression, and a quickly evolving sense of self are all part of the territory. Adolescent counseling offers teens a place that is their own — a space to be heard without being judged or fixed.

We meet teenagers where they are. That often means slow-building trust before any “deep work” happens, and it always means treating them as the experts on their own lives. Our role is to walk alongside, ask good questions, and help them put words to what they are experiencing. Parents are an important part of the process, and we partner with families on how to support their teen in a way that honors both connection and growing independence.

If you are a parent unsure whether your teen needs counseling, or a teen who is curious about what therapy might look like, we would be happy to talk. There is no pressure and no obligation — just a conversation about what might help.

“Adolescence is not a problem to be solved but a passage to be witnessed.”
