Addressing conflict or strengthening communication with a loved one can be difficult work — and it can also be some of the most meaningful. Whether you are navigating tension with a parent, an adult child, a sibling, or another important person in your life, family counseling offers a space to listen, repair, and reconnect.
Family therapy can look a number of different ways depending on who is involved and what you hope to change. Sometimes the whole family is in the room together. Sometimes we begin with one or two people and bring others in over time. We see each family as a system with its own history and its own strengths, and we partner with you to build on what is already working while gently addressing the places that feel stuck.
If you have a hunch that a relationship with someone you love could use some assistance, we would be happy to help you think through a plan that fits your family. You do not have to come in with all the answers — only the willingness to begin.
“In every conceivable manner, the family is a link to our past, bridge to our future.” — Alex Haley
